Sunshine is expected into the latter part of the week, and the temperatures won’t be quite as hot.

The National Weather service indicated that it was 61 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fog and mist reported.

Areas of fog are possible before 9 a.m. this morning. Otherwise, sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 84.

Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 57.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 82. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, with a low around 57.

Mostly sunny skies are expected on Thursday, with a high near 79.

Cloudy skies are expected into Thursday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers after 9 p.m. The low will be around 60.
