Scattered areas of minor, heavy traffic congestion reported this morning

Commuters could encounter some isolated areas of traffic congestion on the ride into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81 and 476. Scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Route 315, while heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, isolated areas of heavy congestion are reported on Highland Park Boulevard and onto Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard.

Downtown, Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard are each reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion. Scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are also reported on Hazle, North Main, South Main, North River and South River streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
