Slightly cooler temperatures, along with the chance for some rain showers, are in the Wyoming Valley’s forecast into the midweek.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 35 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with mostly clear skies reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 63. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 43.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Tuesday, along with a 50 percent chance of showers after 7 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 64.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Tuesday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 45.

Partly sunny skies are expected for Wednesday, along with a slight chance of showers. The high will be near 65.

Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Wednesday night, with a low around 45.
