Keep that rain gear handy, because it looks like rain is expected in the Wyoming Valley right through the rest of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 51 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with light rain, fog and mist reported.

Showers are likely today, along with a possible thunderstorm after 1 p.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and today’s high will be near 57.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain possible. Tonight’s low will be around 46.

Scattered showers will start out the day on Thursday — after 3 p.m., showers will become likely, along with a chance for thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 59.

Showers will be likely before 7 p.m. on Thursday night, along with possible thunderstorms. Scattered showers will follow into the overnight hours, and the low will around 47.

Friday will once again bring a high likelihood of showers, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 61.

Friday night will also bring a high likelihood of showers before 2 a.m. The low will be around 48.
