Isolated areas of traffic congestion reported this morning

Aside from some scattered areas of traffic congestion, commuters should have little trouble on the ride into work and school.

Heavy congestion is reported on Interstate 81 northbound near Dupont, while isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Interstate 476.

Isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Route 315, while heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but the South Cross Valley Expressway is reporting widespread minor congestion in the southbound lanes.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Kidder, Mundy and Spring streets.

Downtown, isolated areas of heavy congestion are reported at intersections of Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Other isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Hazle, North Main, South Main, East North and North Franklin streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
