Commuters could be delayed on the way into work and school this morning thanks to some scattered areas of traffic congestion.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81, while isolated areas of traffic congestion are reported on Interstate 476. Minor congestion is reported on Route 315 in the area of East Main Street, while heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Kidder Street.

Downtown, several streets are reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion. Affected areas include:

• Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards

• Conyngham Avenue

• Hazle Street

• North / South Main streets

• West North Street

• North / South River streets

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
