Commuters could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion on the way into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Route 315 is reporting scattered areas of minor traffic congestion, while Route 115 is free of congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is also free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, minor traffic congestion is reported on Mundy Street. Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard are East Northampton Street are both reporting scattered areas of heavy congestion.

Downtown, Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard are reporting scattered areas of heavy traffic congestion throughout the roadways. Areas of minor congestion are also reported on Hazle Street, North and South Pennsylvania avenues, North Main Street and Public Square.

North and South River streets are each reporting scattered areas of heavy congestion.

In Kingston, areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street while Wyoming Avenue is reporting isolated areas of heavy congestion throughout the roadway.
