Temperatures will climb in the Wyoming Valley this weekend, but there will also be a chance for some mixed precipitation.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 13 degrees as 0f 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Cloudy skies are expected today, along with a slight chance of rain, snow and sleet. Today’s high will be near 35.

That chance of rain, snow and sleet will carry on until 11 p.m. tonight, followed by a chance of rain and snow into the overnight hours. Less than half an inch of snow and sleet accumulation is expected, and the low will be around 32.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Saturday, with a high near 52. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 36.

Mostly cloudy skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, along with a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. The high will be near 46.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Sunday night, along with a 50 percent chance of rain and snow showers. The low will be around 32.
