Areas of traffic congestion could add time onto the morning commute

Commuters could encounter some traffic congestion scattered throughout the area on the way into work and school.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Scattered areas of congestion are reported on Route 315, while Route 115 is free of congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, some areas of heavy congestion are reported on Kidder and Spring streets.

Downtown, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Heavy congestion is also reported on East Northampton, East Market and North Main streets.

North and South River streets are reporting scattered areas of minor congestion, with heavy congestion reported on the Market Street Bridge.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
