Scattered areas of heavy traffic could lengthen the commute

    Some scattered areas of traffic congestion could add some time onto this morning’s commute.

    Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Routes 315, 115 and the North Cross Valley Expressway is are also free of any traffic congestion.

    Some scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Kidder and Mundy streets surrounding the Wyoming Valley Mall.

    Downtown, some scattered areas of heavy traffic congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and extending onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Minor congestion is also reported on Hazle Street near Blackman Street.

    Some heavy congestion is also reported on North River Street near Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

    In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
