DALLAS TWP. — The owners of Connor’s Grillroom are looking to end their reign at the helm of the Back Mountain’s destination eatery.
The two-unit building, located at 2161 Memorial Highway in Dallas Township is listed with Mericle Commercial Real Estate for $1,799,000.
The 11,754-square-foot building currently house Connor’s Grillroom and the Fine Wine and Good Spirits shop.
Mericle Commercial Real Estate listing agent Daniel Naylor would not confirm if the property were under contract or not. Attempts to reach owners, John and Connor Scalleat were not returned by deadline.
Elizabeth Brassell at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board said the agency was aware of the owner’s intent to sell the property but noted their four-year lease agreement ensures their continued use of the 8,062-square-foot retail space.
“We are planning to stay,” Brassell said.
But the fate of Connor’s Grillroom is unknown.
“The new owner may continue to operate the business under that name (Connor’s Grillroom) or choose to rebrand and operate their own unique concept,” according to the property listing on Mericle Commercial Real Estate website.
The price tag includes a Luzerne County Liquor License, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Connor’s Grillroom occupies 3,692-square feet and 939-square feet in the basement.
Connor’s Grillroom was established in 2002 by Scalleat Hospitality Group, which also operates two other area restaurants, the Ovalon in Hazleton and the Powerhouse Eatery in White Haven.
