KINGSTON TWP. — Whether you were shopping for a friend, family or pet, the Shavertown Volunteer Fire Company’s ‘Shop Small Business Saturday’ event had something for everyone.

The fire company building was converted into a marketplace on Nov. 25, featuring the talents of area artists and businesses.

Merchandise ranged from custom-made jewelry, a selection of wines, natural bath products, home decor and much more.

Janeen’s Concession Kitchen served up a menu of items designed to fill hungry bellies.

Also, door prizes were awarded.

The event showcased the variety of talents and small businesses that included Lula Roe, Agnes & Dora, Younique, Avon, Paparazzi, Tastefully Simple and Scentsy, to name a few.

American Express founded Small Business Saturday in 2010.

Small Business Saturday, which always follows Thanksgiving, is designed to raise awareness of local businesses and their unique merchandise.
