DALLAS — Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. A $2 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Oct. 17:

MONDAY: Open face hot roast beef on whole wheat bread, parslied mashed potatoes, tossed salad, crackers, blushing raspberry peaches, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Pork and bell peppers, gingered carrots, brown rice, chocolate brownie, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Salisbury steak, broccoli and cauliflower, mashed potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, apple slices, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Roast turkey, roasted sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, bread stuffing, berries with whipped topping, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Craisin chicken salad on whole wheat sandwich roll, creamy pumpkin soup, sliced (cold) beets, birthday cake, milk and coffee.
