DALLAS TWP. — An assortment of rifles and handguns will be awarded as prizes during the annual Irem Shrine Sportsman’s Raffle noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas.

The Irem Shriners hold this huge post-summer event annually for the benefit of the Irem Shrine. Tickets purchased are eligible for the random drawing, awarding a total of 100 guns during the afternoon.

Club members and folks from the community who come out to participate in the fundraiser that is open to the public hopefully will have a good time sharing hunting stories. There will be plenty of food available for purchase with free refreshments.

Money raised at the gun-show raffle fundraiser is used for upgrading facilities at the country club including the pavilion. This event does not benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Tickets for the gun-show raffle are $25 and can be obtained by anyone over the age of 18 by calling Irem Shrine Office at 570-675-4465, ext. 227/228; Raymond Phillips at 570-639-1949; or visit www.IremShrine.org for online purchasing. All tickets sold are eligible for all 100 prizes or winners can use the value of the prize for any purchase at Piestrak’s Gun Shop in Nanticoke.
