DALLAS — The Summer Studio Society at Sue Hand’s Imagery, will hold a Celebration Exhibition of their summer’s work during a Meet-the-Artists reception 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22.
Many local artists and art students who are members of the society has been creating drawings and paintings almost daily since mid-June.
The group of 26 artists has produced a body of work which ranges from classic oil landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes in oil, watercolor and acrylic to realistic portraits, various types of illustrations and innovative compositions in mixed media.
Instructors Sue Hand and Mike Hiscox, both of Dallas, will exhibit their summer’s work. Also participating in the exhibit from the Back Mountain are Amelia Grudkowski, Nicole Jacobs, Emily James, Carolyn Kerkowski, Alexis Lanza and Jenna Maslowski all from Dallas; Shawn Deeds, Anthony and Miranda Nardone, Johanna Kiska, Troy Reinert, Allison and Sarah Stallard, Shavertown, and Lexie Oster, Trucksville. Jacobs and Lanza are also art instructors for the younger students. They will be joined by 10 other artists from the Wyoming Valley and Tunkhannock areas.
The studio is located at 35 Main St.
