Dallas Post Editor Sarah Hite Hando presents Royal Sutton with the Charles D. Lemmond Jr. Community Spirit Award at Sutton’s Trucksville residence Monday, July 25. Sutton was nominated for the award by Dallas Post readers for his commitment to volunteering in the Back Mountain. The award is named after the late former senator, who died in 2012, and it honors those who endeavor to improve the lives of Back Mountain residents through outstanding community service, public service or philanthropy.
