LEHMAN TWP. — Run to the Beat 5K Run/Walk will start earlier Saturday morning due to temperatures predicted to reach near 90, organizer Sierra Titus said Monday.

The event, benefiting the Lake-Lehman High School band and chorus programs will now begin registration at 8 a.m. and the walk/run will start at 9 a.m. July 23 at Lake-Lehman High School.

“We don’t want to have participants getting sick from the heat,” Titus said.

Run to the Beat 5K Run/Walk organizer, Sierra Titus, changed the start time of Saturday’s event due to high heat and humidity in the forecast.
