KINGSTON TWP. — Kingston Township Police Department has one person in custody in connection with a burglary that occurred Saturday night at Penn Dragon Center on Memorial Highway in Shavertown.

At 9:14 p.m. police responded to a burglary call at the Penn Dragon Center, which houses multiple businesses. According to the police report, “property was removed from a business, several rooms were vandalized and parts of the building sustained water damage.”

Upon investigation, Brian Richard Bonath, 42, of Benton, was found with property linked to the burglary on him.

Bonath was taken into custody and charged with “burglary, criminal trespass, theft, criminal mischief, and scattering rubbish upon land/stream,” the report stated.

Bonath was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Thomas Mallory. Bonath is housed in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail, according to the report.

Kingston Township Police Department is asking residents with information about the burglary to call 570-696-1175 extension 111 or 911.
