DALLAS TWP. — Little Meadows Learning Center will continue to fertilize young minds under the management of M.M.R. Jr. Prep.

On July 1, James Reino and his daughter Carla, owners of M.M.R. Jr. Prep, slid into the driver’s seat for the childcare center with plans to mirror their current jungle-themed at the Forty Fort facility to Little Meadows. The Back Mountain daycare center’s name will be changed to M.M.R. Jr. Prep at Little Meadows, Carla said.

M.M.R. Jr. Prep was named after Carla’s mother, Margaret Mary Reino, who passed away in May 2011.

The father-daughter team established M.M.R. Jr. Prep located at 1003 Wyoming Ave. in Forty Fort in November 2012. The childcare center currently houses 45 children from infants up to school-age children.

“Our enrollment (for M.M.R. Jr. Prep) is full,” Carla said.

The duo found success by incorporating education based curriculum with a mix of creativity to engage pre-kindergarten aged children.

James plans to build a relationship with Dallas and Lake-Lehman school districts to develop a program “concentrating on required educational skills needed for kindergarten,” he said.

Carla has many changes other in store for the Dallas daycare center.

“We will be making a clean sweep of the building,” she said. “We will be painting walls, getting new furniture, toys and playground equipment. We will revamp the food program.”

James and Carla also plan to add more teachers to the Dallas facility in the fall.

“We will have an open house in August,” James said.

The announcement ensures the Dallas Township childcare facility’s future after its parent company, Ecumenical Enterprises Inc., opted to not renew a management contract with Massachusetts-based Bright Horizons Family Solutions earlier this year.

Little Meadows Learning Center, located at 3139 Memorial Hwy., was managed by Hildebrandt Learning Centers for 14 years. In 2015, Bright Horizons acquired Hildebrandt Learning Centers.

Bright Horizons managerial contract with EEI ended June 30.
