LEHMAN TWP. — The Back Mountain Food Pantry Garden is in its seventh year of operation thanks to many volunteers who helped prepare the garden this spring.

Located in Lehman Township, this year’s crops include tomatoes, potatoes, squash, peas, beans, lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, asparagus and onions.

The produce from the garden is taken to the Back Mountain Food Pantry and the Pastors Food Pantry in Noxen/Ruggles. At the peak of the harvest, excess produce is taken to other local pantries as well as distributed directly to those in need.

The garden is always looking for new volunteers to help with garden tasks throughout the growing season. Individuals and groups can stop by once a week, once a month, or whatever fits their schedule.

Visit the website for more details and updates throughout the year at www.foopanga.org.
