A Winter Advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. Sunday morning until 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon as temperatures are expected to drop drastically this weekend.

The National Weather Service reported that it was 34 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport this morning.

Today will consist of mostly clouds and a high of 53 degrees while tonight calls for an 80 percent less than an inch of snow between midnight and 3 a.m. with temperatures dropping to around 29 degrees.

A chance of snow showers is possible for Sunday before 10 a.m. with partly sunny skies and a high of around 35 degrees, while Sunday night calls for a 70% chance of less than an inch of snow, after 2 a.m. and a low of around 29 degrees.

There is a 70% chance of a mix of rain and snow on Monday with a high of 45 degrees before temperatures drop to a low of around 21 degrees Monday night.
