DALLAS TWP. — Attorney Steven Richardson of Wiley Rein LLP will address eminent domain at the Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition meeting tonight.

Residents in the Back Mountain and Wyoming Valley have received eminent domain offers from PennEast Pipeline. The company wants to construct a 36-inch diameter, 118-mile natural gas pipeline starting in Dallas Township and extending to Hopewell Township, New Jersey.

The Washington, D.C., based law firm represents New Jersey property owners opposing PennEast’s offers. Richardson will provide information regarding property owners’ rights and options under the eminent domain legislation.

The Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Dallas American Legion, 730 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
