DALLAS — The Back Mountain Memorial Library is always busy, but will be bustling with a different type of activity, beginning on Monday, Jan. 18.

From Jan. 18 through Jan. 30, the library’s main Reading Room will be undergoing renovations and remodeling for new shelving units. During this time, patrons will not be permitted access to fiction and non-fiction books, young adult books, paperbacks and periodicals.

But fear not! The library will still be open during these dates and patrons will continue to have access to the following items located in the front of the library:

    • New current titles – 2 week books

    • Express books – 1 week books

    • Memorial/Honor books – 2 week books

    • Book Club books

    • All DVDs

    • All audiobooks

Patrons will also be able to use the library’s Reference Room including daily newspapers, copier, public computers and the Children’s Room.

As a reminder, you may want to “stock up” on your favorite authors now.

What better time to also visit the library’s Slightly Read Bookshop, which is located in the basement of the library. The Bookshop has many gently used books in a variety of genres all at discount prices. During the months of January and February all David Baldacci books and Mary Higgins Clark books will be half-price.
