Back Mountain Memorial Library to undergo renovations in January

For Dallas Post

DALLAS — As we say farewell to 2015 and welcome the New Year, the board of directors and staff of the Back Mountain Memorial Library wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year. It’s a great time to reflect and to review our goals and aspirations and to make changes where needed.

With that in mind, the library is celebrating the New Year with a new look! The library will be undergoing some renovations/remodeling in the Reading Room area.

Beginning on Jan. 18 and continuing through Jan. 30, access to fiction, non-fiction books, audiobooks, paperbacks and periodicals will be limited. Keep these dates in mind to plan ahead with reading needs and watch for more information to come.

If you’re looking for a way to change personally, why not try the library’s Monday Night Yoga classes? A new series will begin from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4 and continue through Feb. 8. The cost for this six-week series is $60. These gentle classes do not require any previous yoga experience and are geared to beginners to intermediate level.

The library’s Holiday Shop will hold a half-price sale on all remaining holiday gifts, decorations, and collectibles, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26.

The library will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 1 to celebrate New Year’s Day and will re-open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2 with regular hours.

For more information or to register for any classes, call the library at 570-675-1182 or visit the website www.backmountainlibrary.org.
