The event will raise funds to ensure the Eckert, Roberts and Warmouth families can have the merriest of Christmases.

Ilalou Warmouth has touched many lives in Dallas as she has been a teacher at Little People Day Care School for almost 30 years. She is also a Sunday School teacher at St. Paul’s. Her nephew, James Eckert, is a student at Dallas Elementary, a Cub Scout in Troop 241, an art student at The Art Niche in Kingston and a Back Mountain Little League baseball player.

In addition to family members losing their home and possessions, Ilalou suffered burns and smoke inhalation that required her to be in the hospital for an extended period of time. She is currently unable to work while she undergoes physical therapy to regain her strength.

She and the Eckert and Roberts families have found new homes but are missing many of the comforts of home which they lost in the fire.

A benefit called ‘Make Christmas Happen’ will benefit James Eckert, left, and his aunt Ilalou Warmouth.
