DALLAS — Paintings by Sara Grier, of Huntington Mills, will be on display at the Back Mountain Memorial Library throughout September.

Grier has been painting abstract art for about five years. Her art is inspired by the works of psychotherapist and shaman Cristobal Jodorowsky, whose work she has followed from afar.

She said Jodorowsky’s work taught her the concept of “working through what’s in your head through art.” Her experience with painting has given her “a lot of respect for artists who have done this for a long time,” she said.

Grier named her husband Mike and local artist Bob Husty as her two biggest champions who have challenged her to excel in her artwork.

Grier sells selected pieces of her work through the Wyoming Valley Art League, located on Franklin Avenue in Wilkes-Barre. She can be contacted about her work at sara.grier@newpaththerapy.com.
