Northeastern/North Central Pennsylvania Interprofessional Coalition Education Summit held NANTICOKE — The Luzerne County Community College nursing department recently hosted the eighth annual Northeastern/North Central Pennsylvania Interprofessional Coalition Education Summit. Annette Weiss, Mountain Top, interim chair, undergraduate nursing and director, Expressway Accelerated RN to BSN Program, Misericordia; Edward Foote, Shavertown, Pharm D, Wilkes-Barre, coordinator, Wilkes University; and Ellen McLaughlin, Dallas, associate professor, occupational therapy, Misericordia University participated in the program. Students and faculty facilitators met to discuss a patient case study in relation to their roles in caring for the patient. Misericordia University student teachers receive classroom assignments DALLAS TWP. — Misericordia University teacher education majors recently received their student teaching assignments for the fall semester during the Student Teaching Seminar in Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall. Shane Kreller, of Sweet Valley, was assigned to Lake-Lehman High School in Lehman Township. Michelle Mellody, of Smithfield, Rhode Island will be stationed at Lake-Noxen Elementary School in Harveys Lake Borough. Kreller and Mellody will observe student instruction for 14 weeks in two different classrooms as part of their educational and professional academic requirements.
