The Back Mountain Chamber’s Cultural Event Committee held its cultural event at the Irem Temple Country Club Pavilion, Dallas. Basket raffle proceeds were presented to the 1st Lt. Michael J. Cleary Memorial Fund. The Dallas native and first lieutenant was killed in Iraq Dec. 20, 2005 while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Baskets were donated by Senator Lisa Baker, Barber Ford, Eye Care Specialists, Hilton Garden Inn, Mountain Beverage, P&G, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Qik Joe Ice Melt/Milazzo Industries, Attorney Tom Mosca, Bill and Sandy Race, UGI and Wild Birds Unlimited.
