DALLAS — Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. A $2 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Feb. 15:

MONDAY: Centers closed – Presidents Day holiday.

TUESDAY: Chicken salad sandwich, broccoli slaw, potato salad, whole wheat sandwich roll, rice krispie treat, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Roast turkey, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, peaches and apricots, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Presidents Day Special Dinner: George H.W. Bush’s Texas Chili, Bill Clinton’s Arkansas Cornbread, Dwight Eisenhower’s Kansas-Styled Mixed Vegetables, Jimmy Carter’s Cinnamon Baked Apples, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Crispy baked fish, tossed salad, stewed tomatoes, macaroni and cheese, birthday cake, milk and coffee.
